As we criss-cross the highways and byways of Burgundy, visiting places and meeting people, we see many aspects of this charming part of rural France and always come home with a small store of incidents and anecdotes. After one of our earliest trips I wrote up some notes of these incidents, as my Trip Notes and have written a page or two for each subsequent visit. These are not in any way intended to be serious, more the jottings of things that struck me as either interesting, or amusing, or sometimes (at the time) deeply frustrating. They are just observations of aspects of French life and I hope you may enjoy reading them as much as I have enjoyed writing them.
