The vineyards provide some of the most picturesque scenes of the whole region. At each season there are different activities, from the slow solemn pruning during the cold winter months, leading up to a frenetic two weeks in September for the harvest. Then there are the crumbling stone walls that, insignificant in themselves, might be acting as the boundary to some superb plot of vines.
